American Splendor

From off the streets of Cleveland comes… issue #17 of Harvey Pekar’s American Splendor. This long-running, award-winning magazine has caught the public eye in a huge way, and creator Harvey Pekar has been a guest on the “Late Night with David Letterman” show several times, with more appearances scheduled for this year. This new issue of the first and best of the autobiographical genre features stories from Pekar’s life, with a focus on his childhood as the son of communists in Cold-War America, as well as a look at the aftermath of his successful battle with cancer.
